- Rabindranath’s Car
I visited Shantiniketon this year in the month of June. Shantiniketon was a new experience for me. The tiring long train journey from Howrah Kolkata to Bolpur was unexpected. However, after reaching Bolpur, me and my mother was really amazed. The train station stood there like a deserted one. No sign of Rabindranath. No picture of him. Although, one thing took my attention, was that, in the station sign board, it was written, Bolpur (Shantiniketon). We took a rickshaw, and headed for the university premises. From the station, a rickshaw will take about half an hour to reach the destination. Shantiniketon stood like an old village. Spacious and wide, with open class rooms, as most of the people say.
