Coffee House College Street Kolkata

Last June, when I was in Indian city of Kolkata, I decided to visit Coffee House. Coffee house situated in college street. College street is a place near kolkata University. It is similar to Nilkhet. All the book stores are here, providing the students with photocopy versions of real book. As in Nilkhet Dhaka, College Street book sellers also call to buy books. Sometimes, its hard not to listen to them. Walking about, you will see an old building, a structure of the British period, holds the sign board of Indian Coffee House Society. This is the historic coffee house, that most of the Bengali literature talk about. I heard, many of the greatest writers of West Bengal used to come and hangout with their intellectual counterparts in this coffee house. It has been kept the same way it were before. Still, there are people, talking over a cup of coffee, about literature and politics. This caught my eye. However, I spotted some tourists also, mostly from England, in the Coffee House. One cup of coffee costs only ten rupees. And, the taste of it adds nothing special to the mood. Maybe, I was searching my intellectual counterparts there.
